FIAT Caricoa 6 Berth Motorhome -

Time to sell our beloved Motorhome as we are upgrading to a new model. We bought this back in 2009 from an insurance company via a customer. It was very lightly damaged along the side and due to the amount of time for a replacement side skirt to come from Italy, it was declared a Catergory D vehicle. We snapped it up off the insurance company, ordered the part and 9 weeks letter (yes 9 weeks!) the side skirt arrived. We repaired the scratches on the side, replaced the side skirt and custom painted the entire grey plastics around the vehicle. (We are a VBRA and AVIVA approved accident damage repair centre). This gave it a nice unique look. You can see the minor damage in the last 2 photos prior to us repairing. This is how we entered the world of motor homing and my god have we had fun in this. As my family grew from 2 to 5, this 6 berth suited us perfectly. It has 2 fixed bunk beds in the rear so the kids can go to bed without everyone having to go to bed at the same time. :) The central heating is the next thing we loved. It gets amazing warm through the ducted Truma central heating system. The shower room/wet room.toilet is also very large and absolutely perfect for young kids. You can have them washed and in to bed in jig time. If you ever wondered at the attraction of camping/motor homing then let me assure you that it is as great fun as it looks. We plan on going on to the continent in late summer and while we were happily going to go with this, we have our eye on a 6 berth Hymer that being sold privately so now is as good a time as any to sell. I`ve advertised this locally for £16500.00 but i have set the reserve much lower than this to create an auction "feel" so maybe someone will get a bargain as we did when we bought it. The van will be sold fully serviced, with a full year`s MOT and 6 months road tax. It will also be sold with full gas bottles and a fresh safety check certificate for the gas appliances. It`s worth mentioning that as it is now 10 years old, there are various little scratches and marks that you would expect with a vehicle of it`s age. They are pretty insignificant but for peace of mind, viewing is recommended. We also had the van resealed in early 2010 and it has absolutely NO damp areas. For peace of mind we will also include a damp inspection report (something everyone should do prior to purchasing an older motor home). This motorhome has served us faithfully and we have had so many great weekends and weeks away with her. Apart from the Hymer series, i`ve honestly not seen a better 6 berth layout than this, it is the reason these are so very very popular for families with young kids. Incidently i am not interested in any form of swaps and unfortunatley i cannot take trade ins as i need to pay cash for the new motorhome i wish to buy. I also do not wish to be bothered by slaes people asking if i want to list it in other places.
